ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Age Requirement
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • One GCE A-Level pass in a relevant subject with three GCSE passes, OR
  • A Level 3 qualification, OR
  • Relevant work experience in art, design, or creative fields.
  • Minimum CEFR B2 or IELTS 5.5 proficiency required.
  • Mature applicants with supervisory work experience must meet the English language requirement.

Upon successful completion of the HND, students have several progression routes:

Employment

Graduates can enter various fields, including graphic design, photography, fashion and textiles, interior design, product design, digital media and animation, advertising and branding, as well as illustration and fine arts.

Further Education

Many universities offer top-up degree programs, allowing HND graduates to achieve a full bachelor’s degree in BA (Hons) Fashion & Textiles, BA (Hons) Graphic Design, BA (Hons) Interior Design, BA (Hons) Digital Arts, and BA (Hons) Fine Arts.

Professional Qualifications

Graduates may pursue certifications from professional bodies such as: The Chartered Society of Designers (CSD) or The Association of Illustrators (AOI).
